Meade County Fire District has two stations that services
our customers. Station 1 is located in Brandenburg, while
Station 2 is located in Doe Valley.
Station 1 has a training room that can seat nearly 100
personnel. It has a computerized training system that
includes an overhead sound system, overhead projector,
and the latest IFSAC training aids.
After training and chores are complete- the stand-by crew
can take a lunch break in the day room and catch breaking
news! The Day Room can also be utilized as a separate
training room when we have the County Fire School.
Stand-by Crews have the ability to fix lunch or dinner when
needed. We are lucky to have an active Auxiliary that
pitches in and will fix meals during special events- like
Crusade for Children.
Being a healthy first-responder is very important to the
Chief Officers of the Fire District. We have a workout room
that is available to Stand-by Crew, Volunteers, and their
family members (with written permission from a chief officer).
Station 2 serves customers in the Doe Valley, Rock Ridge,
and Buck Knobs communities, as well as the Otter Creek
area that is owned by Louisville Metro Government.
